    Above, in black and white is a logo that I created in Illustrator. The logo will represent me when people see it. I wanted to create a logo no one has seen before. As I was thinking of what I should create, a crown popped up in my head. As a child, a crown has represented power and strength to me. As I was messing around with different shapes, I realized that if I make it into a smiley face it will look very good. Obviously it's a smiley face but I wanted to create the mouth to look more like a moon. This is because recently I have realized the beauty of the moon. 

For this assignment, our mission was to create a brush with our logo and the provided images. The first thing that I needed to do was create a boundary around the logo then around the whole page. After I added the images that we were provided with like spray effect, scratch effect, and a negative light effect. With all of those images combined, the picture to your right is what came out. When I first started, I never thought that it would actually look that good. The image on the right is just 5 of those brushes in different spots because I think that the different colors would make it pop more. This assigment helped me a lot, giving me a great logo that I will use in the future but also developed my skills in photoshop.

    Your tag brush is super cool, and looks like a logo that would be used for a real business. I like how you used the crown and how it represent power and strength for you. Using the scratch effect was an amazing idea and really gives the "rough" look to the logo. I really like the different colors you used, it made the logo pop against the other logos. The smily face is also a really sweet touch. Great job!

  Artist Statement: I decided to create my calligram a  hand because for me it means to calm down. As we are growing up, time goes by so fast, which is the whole meaning behind my hand. With this project, I wanted to let people know that it is ok to stop sometimes and relax. People need to enjoy every second of life so when something is not going your way, just stop and relax. As I create this piece of art, memories come up of when I was younger and stressing over things that did not matter 6 months later. Life is so fast that people need to do what makes them excited and happy with life. Making business  cards went better than  I  excepted . I really  enjoyed this project  because it gave me a  lot of freedom to create  them however I please.  My favorite cards are the first  two because of the  color gradient. This assignment helped me a lot because I know I will use these skills in the future.
